So, before we get into all the technical, and the good stuff. I want to first start off by giving details about my current lab setup. By "lab" I don't mean like a scientific lab. In the IT industry, "Home lab" or "Lab", refers to your computer setup: PC, Monitors, keyboard & mouse, Virtual Machines. Not sure why they decided on that word, but let's carry on. So here is my setup:
PC Specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor
Motherboard; Gigabyte X570 AORUS Elite WIFI
RAM: Corsair Vegenence LPX 32 GB
GPU: Radeon R9 390 GAMING 8G
PSU: EVGA 750 bronze
Peripherals:
Monitor 1: OMEN 32 inch, 2K-resolution
Monitor 2: Acer 22 Inch 1080p-resolution
Keyboard: Corsair Gaming K65 Keyboard
Mouse + Pad: Razer Tournament edition mouse and Razer LED Mouse-pad
OS: Windows 10
Virtualization:
Virtual Box
VMware
Cisco Packet Tracer
It's nothing too crazy, however it's more than enough for me. It runs my vm's perfectly, I can play all the games at the settings I put them at. I don't play games as much as I used too. But every once in a while, playing a video game helps to keep the mental health in check. What companies are your favorite regarding PC Components? Let me know! I would love to talk and discuss!
